This vegan parmesan is a perfect topping for pastas, pizzas, and more. Using only 3 ingredients, this parmesan just takes 5 minutes to make and will last for weeks.

     This vegan parm is super easy to make and is delicious. It only has 3 ingredients, and really takes any pasta dish up a notch. All you need are cashews, nutritional yeast, salt and a blender. You can make enough to last you for weeks, and since these ingredients won’t spoil easily it should last that long too.

What nuts can you use to make vegan parmesan cheese?

     The best nuts to use are raw, unsalted cashews. You’ll want to make sure to use raw, unsalted cashews if you follow the recipe. If not you’ll need to change the amount of salt you use accordingly. Cashews will generally be your best bet to make any nut cheese as it gives a nice creamy texture and flavor, but feel free to experiment and find new flavor profiles that vary from this traditional approach.

     Nutritional Yeast is a powerhouse when it comes to vegan cooking. It is a deactivated yeast that not only is packed with vitamins and proteins, and provides almost a cheesy flavor to foods. This is why it’s used in vegan cheeses and savory dishes so often. It can be a great way to add flavor without adding excess salt or fat to a dish.

     Since the recipe doesn’t use any fresh ingredients like vegetables, it should last quite a long time. Be sure to use a sealed container and store in the fridge and this should last for weeks. How to make Vegan Parmesan Cheese?

     Making vegan Parmesan is very simple. Just add cashews, nutritional yeast, and salt into a high power blender or food processor, and blend until you reach the desired consistency. You can also add some garlic powder to give it a little more flavor if you’d like.

Blend on a low-medium speed until the mixture reaches a uniform consistency
